We got first snow :D Barokko's not allowed turn out because of the risk of the catheter getting dirty or pulled on, so I spent the morning in the summer pasture with him, giving him a couple of hours to graze and hang out within eyesight of the other horses. I quickly realized that keeping the lead rope away from his feet was a bit of a hassle, and came up with sticking the rope in the velcro meant for attaching a neck cover. That kept the rope off the ground:

We went for a walk on the now icy roads yesterday, and his concave shoes have really great grip! Good thing, too, because he decided it would be a good idea to start trotting downhill in a particularly slippery spot, silly horse - but he didn't slip :) So it looks like he won't be needing studs this year, cool.
