Barokko's on oral meds, 50ml/day of "Baytrix Mixtur," which is seriously foul-tasting. For the first couple of doses we tried to distract him with apples and beet pulp, but he was still clearly bothered by the taste for a while afterward.
Then I remembered that he has a Horslyx respiratory lick which he loves, with a strong menthol, eucalyptus, and aniseed flavor. We tried giving him a few licks before giving him the meds, and then letting him lick again afterward, which worked a charm! He doesn't exactly like getting the meds, but it's much less of an issue with the lick. We're on day 5 of 10, so it's a relief to have found a routine that works :)
